Don't Let the "Summer Slide" Catch You!

Attention parents and community members! As the school year wraps up, it’s time to talk about the "Summer Slide." Did you know that children who don’t read over the summer can lose up to two months of reading performance?

Those losses add up fast—by middle school, a student could be 2.5 years behind their peers.

The Rocky Ford Library is here to help! Our annual Summer Reading Program is designed to keep our kids’ minds sharp while having a total blast.

Program Details

Registration: May 1st – June 10th

Register online via RecDesk or in-person at the Rocky Ford Library

When: Every Wednesday in June (June 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th)

Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Prizes: We have exciting weekly incentives to keep the motivation high!
