Police Officer

The City is seeking a dedicated and community-focused Police Officer to join our team. Under general supervision, a Police Officer performs a broad range of law enforcement duties to protect lives and property, maintain public order, prevent crime, and foster positive community relationships. Responsibilities include responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, conducting investigations, enforcing traffic and criminal laws, preparing reports and court testimony, and engaging in proactive community policing efforts. Officers may also provide emergency medical assistance, support code enforcement and animal control activities, and assist residents during critical incidents and everyday needs.

Successful candidates will demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to serving the community. Opportunities for career growth may include specialized assignments such as Field Training Officer, School Resource Officer, Detective, Drug Task Force Member, SWAT Team Member, or other specialty units. Candidates must possess or be working toward Colorado POST certification, meet state licensing requirements, and maintain current first aid and CPR certifications.
