Notice of 18th/Lorri Street Asphalt Project

The City of Rocky Ford would like to notify residents that the 18th Street Asphalt Project is scheduled to begin on or after October 23, 2026.

The contractor will begin mobilizing equipment and materials to the area this week in preparation for construction activities. To help keep residents informed, door hangers will be placed at each residence on October 22 as a reminder that work is beginning.

The project will start with the grading and preparation of the dirt roadway prior to asphalt paving operations. If you see the contractor working in your area, please move any vehicles parked on the street so crews can safely and efficiently prepare the roadway and complete the work without unnecessary delays.

During construction, residents may experience:

·         Increased construction equipment, noise, and dust in the area.

·         Brief interruptions to driveway access while work is occurring directly in front of properties.

·         Delays when entering or exiting the neighborhood during active construction periods.

Project schedules may be affected by weather, equipment availability, or other unforeseen conditions. Residents can stay informed of project updates, schedule changes, and construction notices by visiting the City's website at www.cityofrockyfordco.gov and following the City of Rocky Ford's social media pages (Rocky Ford, CO and Rocky Ford Public Works).
