Lead and Copper Survey – Round 2

In an effort to comply with new state and federal regulations, the City of Rocky Ford is mailing out a second round of Lead and Copper Questionnaires. These laws require all water providers to identify the material of each customer’s water service line—the pipe that runs from your water meter to your home and delivers your fresh water.

If you receive a flyer in the mail, it means we currently do not have information on the material of your service line. Please take a few moments to complete the form to the best of your ability and either mail it back or drop it off at City Hall.

To help with the costs of this required inventory and the large-scale potholing project that will follow, the City has applied for grant funding. Your participation helps us meet compliance deadlines and secure financial support for this important work.

If you’re unsure about how to identify your service line material or need help completing the questionnaire, please reach out to us—we’re happy to assist. Please call Rick Long, Public Works Director, at 719-254-7414.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to improve and protect our water system.
